It’s no secret that we love our gins here at 35, and rums, and vodkas, and whiskeys, and all things pint-sized…
So, as last year’s Gin Festival went down a storm, we’ve ramped this year’s up! Not only will it include many more gins, but more live music, more games and more prizes!
Sponsored by Healy’s Farm, the creators of our favourite Cornish cider, Rattler, and Tarquin’s, the award winning Cornish gin, we’ll be enjoying live music for 4 days on the trot. There’ll be an array of local gins, lagers, ales and ciders as well as a Spoofing Competition, Cornish grub, and money raised for local charities. All for you to enjoy at your leisure 🙂
It’ll be non-stop festival fun from Thursday 3rd August until Sunday 6th August!
Here’s a snapshot of what to expect…
Thursday 3rd August
Local boys, The Dusk of Dawns, treating us to some acoustic bliss from 8:30pm
Friday 4th August
The awesome 50’s Rock’n’Roll band, Red Blue Jeans, will have everyone up dancing from 9:30pm
Saturday 5th August
Bradley Cook will be setting the mood for the early evening with some acoustics from 7:30pm
Russell Sinclair and the Smoking Locos will then get the party started with some amazing blues from 9:30pm
Sunday 6th August
Low and behold some Sea Shanties from our local boys, The Bencoolen Wreckers, with guests Figurehead, for a taste of traditional Cornwall, from 7:00pm
On top of great live music, Sunday will be full of festival fun even including a Spoofing Competition, with prizes! We wouldn’t want you getting hungry so, on top of our brand new menu including fresh sandwiches, panini’s and Cornish cheese boards, we’ll be putting on some yummy Cornish treats. What would a Cornish Goole be without some Cornish pasties?
We are also honoured to be welcoming home the boys from The Smuggler’s Challenge from their final training session. For those of you who don’t know, these local lads choose to raise money for charities including the Cornwall Air Ambulance, Help for Heroes and RNLI by putting their bodies through hell with ridiculous challenges. This time, they are taking on the Cornish coast, from Plymouth to Bude, on paddle boards for Cancer Research UK and Force. Here’s the video: Smuggler’s Challenge Overview
With 50 gins, 26 rums, 26 vodkas and 23 whiskeys, as well as multiple ales, ciders, and lagers, it’ll be impossible not to find your new favourite drink. Check out our blog detailing our favourite local and fruity gins for some inspiration!
It’s Free Entry all weekend, with drink promotions, and lots of entertainment, we’ve even booked in some sunshine 😉
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
